EVEN though some of us survived the Tiananmen massacre`
many lives and hopes were destroyed. The first few years
of escaping and living in America were very hard for
many of us.
Ten years later` it brings me a great deal of pride and
joy to see that my generation managed to survive and
succeed in America - the land of freedom. Yes` I am proud
of our generation's strength and determination. That is
the future of a new China.
Regarding the tactics in Tiananmen` I regret that the
e-mail system was not available back then. Otherwise we
would have had a better way of communicating with
the aging leaders to start the dialogue and to reform
the country.
