- Title: Oh` my excellent Japanese English.
"Oh` you speak English!" I often surprise foreigners when I offer help in English. And I never let them go without being flabbergasted.
I say that we start leanring English at the age of twelve and keep on studying it till we graduate from high school or college` which means college graduates have learned it for ten years at least.
When they hear it` the native speakers try not to show surprise` smile at me` but cannot help showing pity on their faces` "Oh` what a slow creature this kind but poor man is!" They try to change topics and go away but my next words freeze them. "I'm a teacher and I'm teaching English."
Some Japanese told me at a Juku (Japanese cram school) seminar that the "English" they teach is not really English. It's a different language called "Japanese English". The difference is grammar and pronunciation. Then I couldn't understand Japanese English.
If it is hard for you to imagine what Japanese English is like` I recommend you to watch a TV program "Sanma no KARAKURI TV". One part of this program is "Machikado English"` and here you can witness a typical Japanese English.
Japanese KOGALs (easy-going high school girls) and boys try to speak English` but the words that come out of their mouths are not correct or complete` but just a succession of English-LIKE words. They speak "English" in a wrong word order and native speakers of English have hard time in understanding them.
I know I may be one of the Japanese English speakers. I'm sure there are a lot of mistakes in this message too. I hope some kind person who likes English will correct my poor Japanese English in this message. Best Regards`

I quarreled with BEAT TAKESHI in my dream. He was making a film about the Tibetan Buddhism. He invited DalaiLama` a living Buddha. I had a strong doubt about the Buddha.
So I asked for the proof of the true Buddha. I said to the dubious character` "If you are what you say you are` you must have supernatural power. I'll trust you if you and I sleep in different beds and yet dream the same dream. I will send you a message in my dream` so tell me what it is.
Suddenly the Buddha got angry and said` "I will go back to Tibet." I fought with TAKESHI with fists among desks in a classroom at a school.
When I woke` I found myself in a miserable orange colored cloth` which rolled my bare body. I wandered through a market place and then to a temple` and so on. I became very hungry. I recalled how to make money.
I behaved as if I had money and I speculated on cheap grain. I carried the grain in a handcart to the poorest people and sold it little by little. I got a lot of money.
Then I became a member of rank and fashion. I pretended to be an ambassador extraordinary. I woke again from my dream.
